(I apologize for the low-resolution images. My cheap phone camera does not perform well at night.)These shoes are amazing and adorable. An absolute sucker for the mismatched style and a 90s kid forever at heart, the cutesy, age-defying designs of the Hot Chocolate Designs brand are so... what else? Delicious and satisfying. The fact that the design is on printed fabric may make them seem "cheap" to people who have enough money to frequently buy shoes at this price point, but the construction appears solid, they feel very nice, and the uniqueness of the design justifies a bit of splurging. My recommendation is to size down (US). I wear 7.5 in most heels, 7.5/8 in other shoes, but I tried ordering a different style (Geometric) of these heels in size 8, and they were too large. I ordered this design in a size 7, and they fit well. They do accommodate a wide/flat foot, and are fairly comfortable, though I recommend gel inserts for the toe and/or heel if you are going to be on your feet for a while. This is the second pair of heels I have bought for myself, and the fourth pair I have worn in my life; I am typically a boots or just socks-wearin' kind o' gal, exploring style as my budget allows. The heel is a bit high for someone not practiced at walking in heels, but it is stable. I have fairly muscular legs, so it has not been a terrible adjustment for me. The heel soles are plastic - prepare to make noise when you walk in these.I used these to accessorize a casual black dress with white Peter-Pan style collar, added a bit of interest with navy blue tights, and the ensemble earned me a lot of looks and quite a few compliments. The next excuse to wear these out cannot come soon enough. I already have my eye on one of the newest designs, and also look forward to trying the other styles (platforms and flats) when I can afford to splurge on them.
